Members and friends of the Bronxville Historical Conservancy had a wonderful time cruising New York’s historic waterways on the Manhattan II on Sept 25, 2016.
Inspired by 1920’s private yacht designs, the Manhattan II is 100-foot boat with a 22-foot beam; Its teak decks, spectacular cabin with mahogany finishes and all-glass observatory boast modern conveniences while preserving the elegance of a bygone era.
Arthur Platt, an expert guide selected by the NY chapter of the AIA (American Institute of Architects) and the BHC provided a special program just for guests on the historical development of New York City, its harbor and its buildings.
Our guest speaker on the Battle of Brooklyn was Joe McCarthy.
