On Sunday, June 1st, an exclusive walking tour of William Bates’ iconic Hilltop homes was led by Bronxville architects Kate Fixmer and Richard Gonzalez. This special event offered participants a rare opportunity to step inside and tour one of Bates’ earliest residences at 6 Sunset Avenue, with insights provided by Bronxville architect Maggie Marrone.

The tour, which took place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, began at the Wellington Circle Triangle near 25 Prescott Avenue. This unique event, open only to BHC Members, provided rich insights into Bates’ enduring influence on Bronxville’s landscape, proving to be a true treat for anyone who appreciates history, architecture, and the character of the village.
